A demo vehicle, or a demonstrator, is a vehicle that the dealer has bought and they've used it for test drives. Sometimes they become company cars, cars that staff will have driven around, or the salesman might of taken home from time to time, but generally they are cars that people have test driven to find out what the vehicle is like. They're usually the cars that we take the most time on making sure it's right because when we are trying to sell a car you want a customer to have a good impression. So those cars are always well looked after. What we do is we take demonstrators as a cost of doing business and we discount those cars according to the kilometers on them, so you as a buyer can save some money. So you end up with a car that's been looked after, is the latest model, usually a good color, and you save some money. So demo cars are good value.

Brand-new: freshly out of the factory, already tested, no one has driven it hard.
Demo: (could’ve been) driven hard by a number of test drivers, dealers have to make sure it’s in good condition to sell more cars.
