We've found 26 people underwater while working on missing persons cold cases across the US, and now we're sharing some life-saving tips on escaping from a sinking vehicle.

➦ Share this video to SPREAD AWARENESS with everyone you know!

🚘 Understanding Vehicle Glass Types
Cars usually have two types of glass: Tempered and Laminated. Laminated glass has a film between two pieces of glass, making it nearly impossible to break. Tempered glass, on the other hand, can be shattered using a window breaker. In this video, we show you how to identify what type of glass you have.

🔨 2-in-1 Window Breaker in Action
A 2-in-1 Window Breaker is designed to help you break tempered glass and escape from a sinking car. With a simple push against the glass, the Tungsten pin breaks the window, allowing you to escape. Even with tinted glass, the window breaker can easily shatter the glass. This versatile tool also features a seatbelt cutter to help you quickly cut through seatbelts when trapped.

💪 Easy to Use for Everyone
This window breaker is designed to be used by anyone, regardless of strength, age, or gender.

Getting all cut up and letting people know that this is actually a life saving device, not a toy. When the car is sinking, a few scratches is the least of your worries, living is way more important. Keeping it real like this and demonstrating it in action shows how dangerous this entire situation is, and yet for a few dollars and trickle of blood, you can save not only your own life, but potentially someone else's too. Good job Jared, keep your chin up, I'm right behind you fella.

I am a long years car mechanic, firefighter and first responder from germany. I can tell everyone of you, the cuts don't really hurt. The Glass breaks into tiny squares, so it just scratches the surface of the skin.
Hey AWP, you are the GOAT of YouTube.
Thank you, for your service! ❤

Reminder to have that window breaking tool ATTACHED to something in your car that is easy to get to in a panic situation, otherwise that tool is floating around somewhere in your water filled car.

In my defensive driving course our trainer taught us to always hit the button and lower a window as soon as you hit water before the vehicle electronics fail. Then allow the water to fill the car and exit at the opened window. He said unless the window has been "opened", you can never get the door open, external pressure creates a seal against the door. Window breaker should be tethered to visor, or rear view mirror to stretch to reach windows, otherwise it could get lost on impact with water from other vehicle pockets, etc. If you're disorientated, blow some air, bubbles rise, that is the direction to the surface, if dark put your hand above your lip, blow some air, to feel if your bubbles pass. If you are skidding towards the water or launching tell everyone what window or door you are ALL exiting from and practice, discuss before an accident ever happens - preparations are like fire drills, they help your mind under stress recall better. Rehearse it in your mind is also prep. Don't panic. Thanks guys for putting all this together.

GREAT demonstration! I bought one about 6 months ago for my wife's car. She has it next to her at all times in a secure location. Showing her this video! Thanks again!

Great video. As a retired cop and former volunteer firefighter-rescuer, window punches are VERY important to have on hand. These combo punches/seatbelt cutters work. We call in "break and rake" when using a punch or other tool to break glass and clear it (enter or escape). Keep up the great educational videos.

Thanks for the demo, as I mentioned, our employer handed out similar tools to us, in one of your previous videos you showed wonderfully, where to ideally place it, and now, how to properly use it. Honestly, these videos should be shown at driver ed classes. By the way, these are great not only to save you if you get into a potential drowning situation, but for example if you get to be at a car crash and need to assist the victims to get out of the car quickly, without hurting yourself. Along with an IFAK, this tool is one of the must haves for a frequent driver.

Great demonstration!
Also very useful in rescuing occupants trapped in burning vehicles, and pets or children left in locked vehicles, especially during very hot weather!

This is such an important tool for everyone to have.
I worked in emergency services years ago, and wish we had them then.
It would have made our lives easier.
It is so important that everyone have this device inside their car.
I have found great value from your channel and what you do.
I have shared this video to my social media and also a link to this device.
I am pleased to pass along who you are and what you do.
I will absolutely support you, and urge others to do the same so your work will continue.
Thank you for what your team does!

A band member from Lotus, Chuck Morris, and his son went missing March 16th at Beaver Lake in Arkansas. They were last known to be kayaking there and they have apparently recovered their kayaks and found a jacket. You guys were one of the first things I thought of when I heard about this. I hope you guys see this and could possibly help find them.

Jared your mom is delightful. So glad she agreed to come help you. She's beautiful and has a gentle soul. Nothing beats the mother/son relationship. But daddy/daughter is a great equal. Stay safe Jared and the real AWP team.

I bought that kind of thing from a different company, but I always feel better watching YouTube videos to see how something is operated, especially if the instructions for use was minimal. I appreciate you making this video, and hopefully those cuts healed quickly.

It's the panic that people ought to be taught how to deal with. It doesn't matter what tools they have, if in a moment of panic they can't remember that they've got them. Thanks for the video and for what you guys do. God bless you.

Thank you for this demonstration. I can’t imagine how it was for your mom to see you in a car under the water. 😮 Bless her heart. Thanks for going to great lengths to help save lives. Your video helped me learn how to identify tempered glass in my vehicle and how to escape if ever needed. I want all my children and family to see this video and will be sharing it.
