@PRiiZMx I was thinking that while I edited it. He's a safe pair of hands though.

@xxxfestivaxxx ideally on low end zoom lenses ( 15-85mm ) you're going to want 1/125th - 1/250th for static objects and 1/640th - 1/800th for moving ones. Unless you have very steady hands / an IS lens. Check your EXIF data / camera LCD display and see what shutterspeed your images were taken at and change settings accordingly ( shutterspeed too low = increase ISO / decrease F number / find a location with more light ! )

@xxxfestivaxxx Understood. The Tamron will be just fine. In low light situations the pop up flash will solve a lot of problems ( or a speedlight / flash unit if you have one ! ) The camera is like an eye. You're only ever going to have problems focusing on objects quickly / finding things when you start running out of light. For indoor work in low light unless you really need a long zoom for the same price you could look at the Canon 85mm F1.8 USM lens. An amazing low light lens.

@xxxfestivaxxx the Wi-Fi and GPS modules are still optional extras. For the asking price I agree it would be nice if it came as standard. Back when the Mark III came out it was £2, 999 ( got one since 2007, amazing camera - love it ! ) the Mark IV raised the bar and added HD video too and was £3, 600. I dont see what justifies the huge leap in cost when like its predecessors also had technology was also brand new at the time. Looking forward to seeing it in action but the price = :(

@xxxfestivaxxx Well a DLSR with a lens is always going to stand out. If you dont want to be noticed ( like in bird / wildlife photography ) sure you can disguise it to make it less noticeable. Blurryness is caused by 3 things. 1 : The subject moving too fast, 2 : The shutterspeed being too low and 3 : The camera being moved around too much. If it's too bright as well as being blurry that means your shutter speed is too low. Increase ISO to compensate as needed. ( cont.... )

@xxxfestivaxxx the most important part of photography is always the lenses ;) For this sort of money you can get a 24-70mm F2.8 USM L, 85mm F1.2ii USM L + 70-200mm F2.8 USM L IS with money left over for a 60D / 7D + accessories as well ! The leap in ISO is all good and well but even in my darkest shoots I've never needed to go above 6400. I cant think of any practical situation that would need ISO 200, 000+. The HD video is outstanding on even the 500D. Again, all down to lenses !

@xxxfestivaxxx Tamron make great lenses. So do Sigma, so if you're on a budget then shop around. My best advice is always try before buy and see if the lens does what YOU need it to. 70-300mm is a great outdoor range. I used the Sigma 70-300mm for years and outdoors in good light it was fantastic. Being an F4.5 - F5.6 lens it wasnt great in low light. But every lens has a purpose and for the price it was A+. Back on this video, I do like the twin CF cards compared to CF/SD combo.

would this be better at video than the 5d mark ii? or would it be nearly the same since they are both full frame.

@CRANKYONE100 Predicted prices range from about 6-7000 USD and 4-5000 GBP. From what I've read so far, which does sound reasonable.

Well I dont know about spying but in the dark if your eyes cant see it then the lens wont see it either. As a rule of thumb you can only take photos of what is visible to the eye. Yes you can overexpose your images but even at the highest ISO the images will be very grainy due to the amount of "guessing" the camera has to do in very dark situations. Also the shutter speeds needed to get any sort of detail in the dark without a flash will need a lot ot time so no good for movement.
