Great stuff. I've being using HomeCam for a while and never thought about setting up an easy shortcut for it. Great ideas throughout!

I love the HomeCam app. It is great for watching all of my camera live feeds at once. I can then tap on one of the views which then brings up that camera full screen and allows me to run all of the other functions for that camera, like using the microphone.

Wow Adam you definitely have this down to a science. I am brand new to HomeKit and just starting to build my system. Wondering if you could build a real simple shortcut called "Good Morning" and I would like Siri to tell me the date, tell me the weather, check my calendar and then put my favourite radio station on? Keep those videos coming.

Hey Adam, great video! You might want to slow down a bit 😎. Had to stop the video several times… Maybe do a few per video? This would enable you to take more time with steps to follow.

Hi Adam, love your videos..I am trying to switch to homekit all the way from Alexa but I am finding some simple things Alexa does and I can not figure out to do simple things. Trying tor figure out how to have my HomePod run a morning scene turning on my lights and telling what is in my calendar for that day and giving me the weather forecast for that day

Is there a way to set a motion sensor to not detect motion when I’m sleeping easily without have to turn off the automation in the app. I’ve tried using time settings but I’m new to this so I’m still trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi Adam and fellow subscribers. Do you know how to turn on a smart-plug (Vocolinc) and AppleTV using a voice command to an Apple HomePod Mini with either scenes, automations, shortcuts or any combination of them? My TV is turned on and off with a voice command to the smart-plug it is connected to. My AppleTV presumably turns on with a voice command via a shortcut. Try as I may in the Apple ecosystem, I cannot find a way to have the TV and AppleTV turn on with just one voice command, instead of one each. Any ideas? Is the answer a workaround using the setups within the Vocolinc app instead?

Am I missing something? You keep saying "Siri" but then you show tapping the iPhone. Siri is the semi-smart voice helper for Apple. Actual Siri shortcuts, would, to me, where you "say" "Siri, open shortcut". And it does it. Just having a shortcut does not involve Siri. So, what am I missing? TIA.

I had trouble understanding what you were saying. Several times I had to pause or skip back a few seconds to try to understand you better. I don’t think it’s because you have a slight southern drawl. I think it’s because you are trying to talk too fast, and some of your syllables get swallowed up as the words run together. This is only exacerbated by how aggressively you've cropped out the silence. The tiny Pauses & breaks between phrases that you've trimmed, in my opinion have been cropped too close to the front & back of the words; there’s no split-second for me to process before moving onto the next phrase. Good info, just a bit too much effort on my end to try to understand what you're saying.

I know you want to keep your videos short. However if you trim off a few extra seconds, but then that costs me a few extra seconds, 10 times throughout the video, did I really gain or save anything? It’s a bit exhausting to be honest.

Hey Adam. I wanted to share this amazing Homebridge/ HOOBS plugin that I found a few weeks ago since I originally used your tutorial on how to integrate my Wyze Cam v2 into HomeKit, but you don’t have an email address in your about section. The plug-in is called “Camera.UI” and it allows you to use any rtsp camera with HomeKit Secure Video. So, now my Wyze Cam v2 has iCloud storage and person, pet, vehicle and package detection, plus facial recognition!
