As my German friend would ask; “Why would you think the subway is free when you walk past so many ticket machines to get to the platform?”

Dinner at 5? I am German and don't know anyone who does this. Between 6 and 7 is a normal dinner time. With a fulltime job you won't be home by five. (Maybe your friends have little kids and their toddlers are given dinner at five?)

In Portugal:
- We eat at 7pm
- We have public recycle bins everywhere
- You can tap any bank card on the validator to use public transportation.

And we are cheaper

I am German and I never met anyone that had dinner at 5. 6 is pretty early, I would say 6-7 is normal, with my job I do not get up that early so every meal is a bit later, so we have dinner normally around 8.

You can't recycle pizza boxes. The grease from the pizza makes them so they can't be recycled.

What I never got about these late dinners in Spain is two things: where do you eat in the meantime ( or do you just go from 3PM lunch to 10PM dinner without food? Why? ) and how do you do that with kids? When we were few months in Spain our daughter was bellow 3 so we could stay late in restaurants and then wake late in the morning, but since she is in preschool or school, how do you manage sitting with kids in restaurants till 11 or 12 on weekdays?

How could he not find the communal garbage containers? They're huge and you find them everywhere.

Private recycling bins ? Maybe apartment houses, but there are also other places with recycling bins.

To the Spaniards: What's it like moving from Spain to Germany when it comes to politics? I'm just curious because I know that in Spain Franco is just seen as a controversial figure while in Germany Hitley is widely denounced.

No there definitely are recycling bins for glass and paper, you have to seek them out sometimes though

If you eat dinner too early, you'll be hungry going to bed and unable to sleep.

How do they find you if you don’t buy a subway ticket? Especially if you’re a tourist?

You also have to keep noise down in Germany, unlike Spain, which people are very inconsiderate of others. Especially in apartments.

8-2-8 feeding program 😂. If you take dinner at 5pm.. when do you go sleep then? Unless there is a personal choise of a lifestyle that gets you sleeping at 8pm.. is impossible to have a last meal 5 hours prior to your sleep. You'll be hungry again.. 😂
Edit: Won't even say a thing about *free rides* 🤦‍♀️
