Literally everyone in the city believes mysterio a complete unknown character who came out nowhere Over the Man who is spiderman, the friendly neighborhood hero, a disciple of Iron man and many of Queens people knows a good guy who helps a lot of him

The movie was... fun, but it was also very clear that it was focused on nostalgia and leaving openings for fans to cheer.
I would pick _Into the Spiderverse_ over this one every time.
I'm not gonna say that Peter is the smartest guy with these kind of moments considering all the shit he did and went through in the comics. But the story in the movie only happened because the writers wanted to. I mean who starts casting a super dangerous spell for which you have to concentrate a lot, before going over every little detail, explaining exactly what is going to happen and such... heck Dr. Strange was also this extremely cautious guy who didn't even want to risk opperating on a patient who he might not be able to fix, going from that into the other extreme of just saying _let's try this one!_ is just so... stupid.
