He is wrong about one thing. If you have a topic channel and you have a YouTube creator channel you can merge them together and make it into an official artist YouTube channel which will put your music videos and your auto generated distro kid releases all on the same page and you can edit that page at any time once it becomes an official artist channel including bios and videos you can change everything once you have an official artist paint channel

I don't now if I'd recommend paying for the iPhone + Shazam addon for your song releases, especially if you're not getting many streams at the moment
because if your music is being submitted to Apple Music then it will automatically be Shazamable because Apple owns Shazam.

I don't pay for the Shazam addon on distrokid and my music has been Shazamed plenty of times.

Well it sounds like the upgrade to the Musician Plan is just about choosing your label, which is great, but even more importantly it allows you to choose a release date and have a release schedule. Personally, that's the main reason why I upgraded. But yeah choosing your own "label" makes a huge difference too.

Years of working with DK and TuneCore.
DistroKid is only good for Cover songs imo. Just because they have the most headache-free process to do it. Very straightforward and fast.
However, I think TuneCore wins for everything else. They are very straightforward and with no weird “add-ons” which let’s face it - in DK most of these add-ons should be free.
These are just my 2 cents.

I've been trying to find an answer, from the depths of the web as well as the Distrokid page, but does anyone here know if I can somehow prelisten to the tracks that they sent to the stores? Yeah, I made the possible mistake of ticking the loudness normalization box... Hopefully it's not as bad as some reviewers have said. Thanks in advance.
