I got fired while I was on my two weeks vacation leave. True story. When I came back to work, one of co-workers whispered to me and said, "They fired you, but you didn't hear that from me." I pretended like I didn't know and headed to the floor, only to be called in to the office and was handed a letter. I laughed at Ice Cube on the movie "Friday" when he got fired on his day off, but didn't know I would experience something similar. 😂

True story; I was hired & fired in less than an hour.

Was called in, told everything was a go, welcomed with smiles, giving date to start, left feeling good, got about a mile away & they called me & told me they couldn't hire me to which I said you literally just hired me just a few minutes ago to which they said well we're firing now. Didn't say why.
My best guess is my former job told them not to hire me.

But yeah, hired & fired within an hour got to fall under some 1st & only, extremely rare, record breaking scenario for anyone. I just may be the only individual in history of people being hired & fired from any job that can stake claim of being the only person to experience this strange experience.

The sad thing is that stuff like that happens! If the food will get thrown away then what would it matter? Besides, the sandwich was probably cold already so they’d have to make another one

This almost happened to me at my last job. I just woke up and was about to get ready for work and got a call saying "you're not meeting production so we are going to write you up and next step is termination". I'm like wtf i'm meeting production? Come to find out the contractor who I was with wasn't giving me or anyone else in the group the right information. These places be crazy
