Donald Trump has won the election and will be 47th President of the United States after winning the key battleground states of Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia. ‘America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate,’ the Republican candidate told supporters. ‘This is a magnificent victory for the American people, that will allow us to make America great again,’ he said at the rally in Florida. It has been total victory, with the Republicans also winning Senate and the popular vote. Kate Andrews is joined by Sarah Elliott and Rick MacArthur to unpack a historic election night.

All my US friends were saying Trump will win.

My friend from Edinburgh went on holiday to the US two months ago and said the everyone he spoke to you were going to vote Trump and Trump banners and hats and t-shirts were everywhere.

Very good political analysts (not this channel) were all saying it was more than likely Trump would win.

The only source that was saying Harris had a chance was the MSM.

That's another nail in the coffin on ignoring the MSM.

Get your news from other sources. YT has plenty of really good news analysis.

Abortion? It is not mentioned in the US Constitution, and the Congress never voted on it. It is not, and never was, a "Constitutional right." The SCOTUS was absolutely right to overturn Roe vs Wade. Today it is up to the states what they choose to do about it. And why shouldn't it be? We are The United States of America, not The United People of America. Our Constitution, not our wants, is the supreme law of the country.

Mr McArthur alleged that what’s happening in Gaza now is “a massacre”. Wouldn’t it have been nice for that comment, to have been challenged? He could have been asked for example, where is he getting his facts from? The Gaza Health Authority is part of Hamas so surely not there. I suspect if Douglas Murray had been moderating, it would have been.

He is an iconoclast and loved for his courage and authenticity. The usually silent majority appreciate straight talk.
