Really rich people don't go to job interviews (why would they? They're rich).
I went to a job interview where they required fluency in Spanish fluency. I'm a blonde-haired white guy, so one of the three interviewers spent the interview talking to me in Spanish. 'No problemo', but still didn't get the job.

“See you went to {school/Uni}.”
Me: yeah, but honestly, that was all just to get the degree and credentials. Truth be told, the majority of my learning was done in the workforce and just living, learning and interacting. Working retail and Management for it, the Gym, trails in the woods, Martial Arts Dojo, shooting range, my Lady now Wife since I was 16, Boy Scouts, starting In Medicine, moving multiple times before I turned 30, 6 to be exact, suffering unbearable heartbreak and setbacks, returning to Church on my own…College was just to start doing what I needed to do what I want. I’ve traveled far and wide through my conversations and reading, gazed into the hearts of countless others, met the salt of the Earth and evil of Humankind.

What else can I say, College didn’t make me, not nearly as much as my own life did.”

Who you know only works if the employer owes someone who owes you.

For anyone wondering, he asked “where are you from Roberto?”. I am by no means fluent in Spanish but remember that question vividly from high school

I once interviewed at a Japanese bank for an IT position. They asked if I could speak Japanese. So I said _Daigaku de nihongo o benkyō shimashitaga, zenbu wasuremashita_ — ("I studied Japanese at college, but I forgot it all.")

They offered me the job on the spot.

I have no references. 12 years as a solo operator leaves you with a very small Rolodex

I love the attention to detail in these videos, because it is a known fact that the richer you are, the thicker and bogger your glasses are.
