It took me years to learn the same things you're teaching --confidence is important, accepting the awkward stage, letting loose, cross hatch shading along the form, focusing on values over color, simplifying shapes in hair, limiting your palette, etc. Thank you for sharing this, I wish I had learned these sooner lmao. I'm sure it's helpful to a lot of people, it's a great reminder.
