"How do you search how to look left and right on the internet without sounding like a total bot" still cracks me up 1 year later 😂

I had an epiphany and finally understood how Mutex moves around so smooth!

It has to do with how you use the muscles in your arm and how it affects your thumb movement. When you tense your arm/ shoulder muscles and hold the controller firmly, it allows you to have more precise movements with your thumb, making it easier to do micro movements with the thumbstick.

There's a player that I watch in another fps game, who plays on the highest sensitivity, yet has super smooth movement and aim, but this technique seems to mimic how they do it.

Keep with the the controller tips videos. Controller aiming and improvement isn’t talked about enough so it’s good to hear some new info.

Thank you. I was following along and everything made so much sense and helped me. I’m really grateful you continued looking into this when most people don’t.

Crazy I had a whole aim training session thinking about these concepts stemming from the kinesiology and anatomic positioning of the thumb. Definitely having a more mind muscle connection during reaction has helped my aim alot 😅

Props to you for going a little further in detail & not being afraid to sound kinda crazy, but just ur basic breakdowns and live examples instead of the usual re-cycled YT vids.
Well Done🤙🏾🤙🏾

Small creators always create the best stuff, this is exactly what I've been looking for! Thanks!

Absolutely amazing and game changing. I watched both parts of this discussion. I’ve only been using this placement for about an hour and I am hitting weakspots super consistently on remnant. Boss fights are fractions of what they used to be. Thank you for posting

I really appreciate you going into depth with this. I never looked anything like this up because I always thought it was just me with this problem, but this video really helped improve. Much love man, keep it up❤️👍

I'm glad I'm not the only one that think of aim like this. I look up the strangest things when I'm trying to get better at aiming. Learning about stuff like flow state and mirror aiming. I learned so much on this journey, but never thought of it this way. I'll try this out later. No wonder my aim is so inconsistent.

Bruh I struggled with hitting 200s in apex firing range consistently. Sometimes it’s be 268 then dip to 68-90-54. Then I changed my thumb placement n it was like a scump kinda like position where he position his thumb in a claw like fashion n With a bit of adjustment I was hitting consistent 200s no barrel just now. This is a real topic. THUMB PLACEMENT FIXES UNCONISTENT AIM IT ISNT A MYTH.

Dude we need more videos like this there’s no one out there talking about the actual fundamentals and actually breaking down controller aiming like that. Such a good video dude for real do you have a twitch or something?

This blew my mind. I've been trying to figure out how to improve and it never occurred to me that my grip has been holding me back all these years. Its so obvious that most people never think about it haha. Thank you.

I’m glad I ran into this video this morning, I never knew about “aim theory” as you were explaining on how to adjust left and right. I instantly hopped on a custom match and tried it with bots and I can say it has improved my gameplay 100%.Also now in rebirth my aim has been top notch. Thank you 🤙🏽🔥 good info

Bro you know exactly what your talking about!! Finally someone who understand the science behind holding the stick I kinda knew this but till you talked more in depth about which muscle to use on your thumb based how u have it placed on the stick. I kinda felt a relief bcuz now I don’t have to keep switching and I’m try to get used to it.

The reason I keep switching bcuz when I used to “only” place my thumb on a angle which you said is wrong. It was easier for me to snap on ppl on high grounds or top of buildings or windows but your way or the way I was unsure about is smother with left rights then vertical. It’s hard to know exactly which is better for a specific way to hold the stick but I guess it goes more depth and more specific than we thought tbh. But you have a good sense of controller gaming and in depth stick angling with the thumb “if that makes sense”. Thanks though it was somewhat helpful!

One of a kind video. I had been playing Apex Legends on a controller for 4 years, since it's release with no previous controller aiming experience. I am no master, I realise that at this point I have all the in-game skill necessary and only the mechanical skill with the controller is setting me back.
I will be definitely experimenting with my hand's position today and pray I will find some more comfortable grip, because currently Im just inaccurate with the thumbstick, that's it.

I feel u with the left and right angles! Working on that for years now. The consistent flicking helps to maintain a larger left right angles

Wow, man! This was exactly what I was looking for. I just started playing a FP (Enlisted) and was just doing extremely terrible. This has made a big difference in my aiming. I'm still not good, but I'm winning about 40% of confrontations now instead of about 10%. Thanks man.

7:28 - 7:34 look and try to copy that exact hand placement and find the place your hand feels best. Note: the palm of your hand should effortlessly hover if not slightly touch the side of your controller.
