Immigrants from India share why they picked Canada

The latest census data shows how Canada has been attracting immigrants from all over the world, including many to B.C. In the last five years, much of the immigration has come from India. Some of them share their stories.

Canada should rethink the Indian influx; sooner or later, Canada will be Indianized, which is not what we want to see.

I’m going to be very honest here, even though I am a British immigrant to Canada with no Asian blood of any kind, it has astounded me how many Indians are here. Literally everywhere I turn there is not only one Indian, but many.

This is not a good thing, when a country accepts immigrants it should be at a level that does not impede existing and established culture of the country (in this case Canada). Let’s face it, too many Indians have seen student visas as a loophole into Canada and have utilized it well.

Immigration from India needs to slow down drastically and the Indians here need to adapt to and absorb Canadian culture. Also, Indians need to stop being so rude and selfish. I understand that back in India that was the attitude to get ahead, but this is Canada.

Immigration needs to slow down or completely stop, at least for a short while. There are too many people entering Canada and too few resources and infrastructure to support them. It is causing incredible strain to the system and to Canadians.
