My father worked with Gene Kelly on location. He found him to be kind, patient, always respectful toward people regarrdless of their position or station in life, combined with a good sense of humor. I wanted to clarify your description and give Mr. Kelly the respect he deserves. Thank you.

My brother was the bell hop captain in the Waldorf Astoria back in the 80’s and as a result he came into contact with quite a few celebs. I once asked him who was the biggest jerk and who was the nicest. He said Jerry Lewis was one of the meanest people he ever met and Mary Tyler Moore was the nicest.

My 12 year son Tyler and I got on an elevator at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach. Bob and his wife Delores were on the elevator. . She had a little white puppy. She was so gracious and so courteous.
Bob Hope got extremely angry at the elevator operator. In a very loud and condescending voice Bob Hope scolded the operator for stoping to pick us up. He never acknowledged the fact to us that we were even there Yes, He was a jerk. I glad I finally have the opportunity to share this.

I met Lewis when he stayed at our Maui resort for a celebrity charity event. Working for the GM I was charged with babysitting the "stars" and most were truly kind and considerate, but out of the public eye, this man was demanding and a total jerk, especially to the hard-working staff.

Both my husband and a friend of mine worked at O'hare Airport in Chicago for years and when I asked them both who was the biggest asshole celebrity they ever met, without hesitation, they both said Jerry Lewis. Said he was rude, entitled and mean to every employee who had to deal with him

In my view, Jerry Lewis should have taken the top spot - the posterchild of an angry, self-obsessed, cruel inhuman being.

Lewis oozed insincerity. I have always loathed this creep.

I had a friend who lived in Kenya in the 1950s and 60s. He told me that a friend of his was a big game guide and that he had taken Crosby out for some shooting with a shotgun. Crosby fired a careless shot and blinded the man in one eye. This finished his career. Crosby didn't seem to care and gave him no compensation. The man's wife had recently had a baby and Crosby knew about it so he sent a gold plated safety pin for the baby's diaper and from then on ignored the family altogether. An arrogant scumbag indeed.

How anyone could think Jerry Lewis was funny or talented is beyond me.Not crazy about Mickey Rooney either but comedy is subjective isn't it.

VEGAS TIMES: Back in 1980, I bagged groceries at ALPHA BETA (Skaggs) on Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn Road. ACTOR JERRY LEWIS would always come in the buy groceries. I used to bag his stuff, take to his car etc .. in the video below, they claim he was mean and a total jerk. Sadly, I confirm their findings. He was mean, cheap and rude, miserable. The worst customer ever.

The best was ROBERT URICH (Dan Tanna, Vegas) and dancer Juliet Prowse. World class nice people

Mickey Rooney always rubbed me the wrong way. After seeing how he treated Judy Garland in some documentaries despised him even more, arrogant little jerk.

The day Lucill Ball died, countless stars paid tribute to this comedic icon. When someone asked Jerry Lewis what he thought he replied " I dont find women funny."
That must be why she had not one, but 3 number one television shows, while he had none! I never could stand him!

Zsa Zsa once famously said, " I'm a good housekeeper, I always get the house in the divorce!"

It's dfficult for me to express just how delighted I am to see Mickey Rooney characterized the way we truly was, an arrogant, rude, condescending creep who treated everyone around him like dirt. I didn't know him that long, but I knew him long enough and that was too long.

One very upsetting thing about many of the old stars is when aids came along. Elizabeth Taylor asked them to be in benefits to raise awareness and money....and they all “we have to protect our careers”. She said something like this; “you all have more money than god, and your careers don’t need protection; these people did your hair and makeup, built the sets and lighting, and made you all look good; which helped your all still refused to that everyone does not have Elizabeth Taylor’s

When I think of Jerry Lewis, all I can think of is a 5-year-old who wants attention and will do anything to get it. His idea of comedy was about as childish as could be and, in my opinion, isn’t humorous at all!

My brother in law worked in security and one of his clients was Mickey Rooney, he said he was a dirty old man both with his personal hygiene but also in his behaviour, vulgar, crude and belittling to women

1970s Lewis was to visit local VA Rest home, arrived and walked out when he saw the elderly audience and made disparaging comments.... never liked him again

I showed Bob Hope his newsreels and films of him entertaining the troops in WW2 in the National Archives in 1985. He was a Wonderful Man to talk to and Very Kind and Appreciative of my efforts. He commented on many of the Paramount Newsreels and told me several anecdotes about them. It Was A Fabulous Experience For me!

I remember a Zsa Zsa Gabor moment in the late 70s. I was at the opening night of "Annie" at the Schubert Theater in LA. I saw a parade of stars walking the red carpet. Zsa Zsa got out of a limo with some young man escorting her. The look on her face I'll never forget. She was furious about something. She radiated rage. 😡 Some photographer next to me snapped his fingers and said "here Zsa Zsa", and she flashed the most beautiful smile 😀just as the camera flashed then it reverted back to the anger. 😡 She should've gotten an Oscar for that "performance". 😀
