Food and housing are more expensive than ever. I see no easing of inflation. Just an easing of the numbers in the reports. Expect revisions later. It is really really bad amd bound to get worse. Greed alone could take us down.

The US interest rate fell consistently from 2000 to 2004 and rose slightly until 2007, but remained at levels below those of 1990. Thus, we can say that the US Federal Reserve kept interest rates low while the market was blowing up the real estate bubble before it burst in 2008. The Artificial Intelligence bubble that is being blown up now will burst soon, and the fall in US interest rates may be an indicator of this likely and foreseeable future fact. Work harder so the economy doesn’t collapse is China’s solution to the aging of the Chinese population. Starve to death now that the economy is growing is Argentina’s solution to the crisis that Milei is deepening with more austerity for the elderly in Argentina. In all cases, we see here the evident inhumane nature of political economy as it is practiced by governments, whether democratic, authoritarian or insane. The economy no longer has any real contact with the daily needs of most people. It is a cancer that devours itself while the market plans to crush the little people (USA) or does so slowly or quickly (China and Argentina).
