►►►►►► PLEASE NOTE: In this video I mention the "eject" button...That button is the "sync" button and not an eject button (I simply misspoke). I don't need another comment telling me that but feel free to make one anyway, lol!
Xbox Series S Teardown - A Repairability Perspective - Yes, now I'm tearing down the new Xbox Series S to see how it looks inside. I'll also be checking how easy it is to take apart and how difficult it looks like it will be to make repairs on.

Clearly, I misspoke about the eject button. That's the pair button. Anyone want to venture a guess as to how many comments will say "why is there an eject button if there's no disc drive" or something similar. I'm guessing at least a hundred! The Xbox Series S and X controller teardown is coming soon!

Hey Steve, just wanted to say thanks on this one specifically.

We had a major drama with my sons’ brand new Series S, where he accidentally bumped a full glass of water right onto the machine while it was on!

The machine shut off instantly, so I assumed that was terminal.

I followed your video anyway, mopped up a lot of water, although I think most fortunately there were no signs of water in the power supply.

So, lots of hair dryer use, re-applying of the thermal paste, and cleaning any and everything with isopropyl alcohol, and letting everything stand to be as dry as possible before then re-assembling, when I tried it out it appears that it still works just fine ! Yay !

Xbox (Canada) want $275 cdn to repair/replace, so we likely owe you at least a nice cup of coffee 😃

So, thanks from us, a Dad who has limited experience taking stuff apart, and a 13 year boy who could has been able to keep in touch with his friends due to having his Xbox 😃

It’s amazing how simple a console becomes when you take out the disk drive.

The XBOX stuff is much more repair friendly. I love the modularity of it. I'm a Sony fanboy and still can appreciate MS.

Ah yes not even ten seconds in and we’re trying to break an Xbox lol

the holes on the right side are not exhaust vents as u say around 4:30, those would also be intake, the fan draws the air in from both sides and exhausts it through the large black circular grill.

4:16 Not correct, air comes from both sides goes through the fins, and exhausted on the top. So the fan pulls the air up through the heatsink.
