I Bought a BROKEN Xbox Series S for $100 - Great Deal...IF I Can Fix It! I'm actually trying to fix two Xbox Series S consoles since I have another one laying around my shop that needs to be fixed too. One of the game consoles has a broken HDMI port and the other one has no power so hopefully some interesting fixes.

I am amazed by all the dead HDMI connectors on game consoles. What are the owners doing to them? I have never broken a port before.

I love it when you're able to see visible issues with components, evaluate, replace, and get a win. Congrats!

Out of all the tech repair channels on YouTube, I find your channel the most enjoyable. The way you explain everything and the amount of chips you replace makes it very enjoyable to watch. Keep up the great work.

It blows my mind how good Steve is with soldering and making sure motherboard connections don't break at all

I’ve been binging your videos lately because they’re fantastic, but something about the way you fixed the first one was so elegant. You just swooped in there, figured out which 2 cent part bricked the entire console, and fixed it.

For a split second there, i thought you'd forgotten to apply the perfect amount of thermal paste! Glad to see you came through 😃

It’s not often we get to see TWO applications of the perfect amount of thermal paste!

Also, these Series S consoles are PERFECT for being turned into emulation stations with Developer Mode.

Nice work!

It's such a relief when the iron and flux method breaks a bridge!
I wonder why Xboxs take so long to show their display! It feels like forever after a fix 😂
Great video!

Nice one, Steve. Shorted caps seem to be 90% of the issues in all these consoles. If the companies used a bit better PSU they wouldn't need the extra 30 filter caps that keep shorting out.

You inspired me to pick up a hot air soldering station for xmas. It's been a game changer for smaller repairs.

Great job Steve, if only repair shops had some of your profesionalism, we would have fewer things to throw away. Happy new year, kepp it up in 2023 also.
