Elden Ring is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is a collaborative effort between game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, and is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.

Elden Ring takes place in the realm of the Lands Between, sometime after the destruction of the titular Elden Ring and the scattering of its shards, the Great Runes. Once graced by the Ring and the Erdtree which symbolizes its presence, the realm is now ruled over by the demigod offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal, each possessing a shard of the Ring that corrupts and taints them with power. As a Tarnished — exiles from the Lands Between who lost the Ring's grace — summoned back after the Shattering, players must traverse the realm to ultimately find all the Great Runes, restore the Elden Ring, and become the Elden Lord.

Elden Ring is an action role-playing game played in a third-person perspective and features elements similar to those found in its predecessors, the Souls series as well as Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, with gameplay focusing on combat and exploration. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained that players start with a linear opening but will eventually progress to freely explore the Lands Between, including its six main areas, as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the vast open-world map. These main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game's progression — similar to Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls — and will be explorable using the character's mount as the main mode of transport, although a fast travel system will be an available option. Throughout the game, players will encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main area and will serve as the game's main bosses.

Combat in Elden Ring relies heavily on character-building elements found in previous Soulsborne games, such as calculated, close-ranged melee-based combat with the use of skills, magic abilities, as well as blocking and dodging mechanics. Elden Ring will introduce mounted combat and a stealth system.

Hey Brad if u un-equip some armor and get to a medium load instead of a heavy load for your item weight you will be able to roll quicker, which is really good and makes rolling/dodging a lot easier. Try it out!

Hey brad, here is a little tip:
1:When an enemy is staggered either by guard counter or high damage you can press r1(light attck button) to deal massive amounts of damage with an animation
2: In order to use the sword skills you must dual wield you have a shield equipped in left hand then you cant use the sword skill

here are some tips i think you should know:

1) try to unequip somethings until your equip load becomes medium so you can roll fast and not fat roll
2) when you get new cookbooks it automatically adds new recipes in your crafting menu
3) those white glowing stones that give you a golden rune (which is like stored money you cant lose, worth 200) can be destroyed by literally running over them with your horse, then spam your pick up button, they are extremely useful since you can find alot of them.
4) getting extra charges on your flasks are by golden seeds, which are found around the world on like mini/small erdtrees on the ground (really small golden trees)
5) dont upgrade your vigor too much, also focus on endurance (for equip load and stamina) and strength for damage
6) when break enemy stances after a heavy attack, you can go for a riposte, just do your r1 attack while your facing them
7) the soldier of godrick isnt really a boss fight, hes just one of the normal enemies with a big healthbar, you still do alot of damage when you start but its because of his health as a "tutorial boss"

i wasnt able to watch the full video but these are the things ive seen that i can help with

Love the videos Brad, here's something I learned: when you hear that voice calling for help, it's someone who was cursed and turned into a tree. So walk up to the tree where the voice is to break the curse, they will be grateful and later on give you stuff <3

Hey Brad, don't focus all your upgrades on health. Endurance can be very helpful because if you block it will take longer for a enemy to stagger you, and make it easier for you to have a decent amount of stamina after blocking an attack.

Check "flasks" in when you are resting. Golden seeds are used to expand the number of flasks you have.

A bit late, but If these basic tidbits help, they help;
1) When you are blocking, if you Light attack, R1 while immediately after a block, you do a counter. New ability for these games and its a life saver.
2) You can wlk over the glowing skulls with your mount, torrent, and it will break the skull for you.
3) When enemies are stunned, if you get right up on them and light attack R1 can give you a crit hit, but for some enemies you have to reach a certain spot, the head for the giants as an example, and it will give crit with R1.
4) Jumping into spirit springs from up top to the bottom negates fall damage, but if you miss by a large margin, you die.
5) The summons only show up for "hard areas", bosses and the like, its the symbol for summons on the left.
6) weight can make you "fat roll" and losing gear or the weight makes you more agile and diff weapons affect certain enemies better than others. Like a hammer, very good for staggering larger enemies for crits, but slow a.f. and some weapons have bleed damage and the like
7) You can summon from the quick menu; I have my 2 most used summons on mine unless im doing PVP (which is rarely)
8) If you two hand a weapon you can use their ash of war skills, or dual wielding, but if you put away your shield, or take the skill off your shield you default to the weapons skill. But if you have shield, it uses the ash of war skill for the shield itself.

Still going to watch the other eps, glad you're playing brad and hope you go all the way through! Im more than 40 hrs in and Im nowhere near done with the 3rd region, and still finding stuff in the first and second I missed xD
