Elden Ring is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game is a collaborative effort between game director Hidetaka Miyazaki and fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin, and is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25, 2022.

Elden Ring takes place in the realm of the Lands Between, sometime after the destruction of the titular Elden Ring and the scattering of its shards, the Great Runes. Once graced by the Ring and the Erdtree which symbolizes its presence, the realm is now ruled over by the demigod offspring of Queen Marika the Eternal, each possessing a shard of the Ring that corrupts and taints them with power. As a Tarnished — exiles from the Lands Between who lost the Ring's grace — summoned back after the Shattering, players must traverse the realm to ultimately find all the Great Runes, restore the Elden Ring, and become the Elden Lord.

Elden Ring is an action role-playing game played in a third-person perspective and features elements similar to those found in its predecessors, the Souls series as well as Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, with gameplay focusing on combat and exploration. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki explained that players start with a linear opening but will eventually progress to freely explore the Lands Between, including its six main areas, as well as castles, fortresses, and catacombs scattered throughout the vast open-world map. These main areas are interconnected through a central hub that players can access later in the game's progression — similar to Firelink Shrine from Dark Souls — and will be explorable using the character's mount as the main mode of transport, although a fast travel system will be an available option. Throughout the game, players will encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main area and will serve as the game's main bosses.

Combat in Elden Ring relies heavily on character-building elements found in previous Soulsborne games, such as calculated, close-ranged melee-based combat with the use of skills, magic abilities, as well as blocking and dodging mechanics. Elden Ring will introduce mounted combat and a stealth system.

Dude you need to get a “Finger Seal” from the vendor at Round Table to use incantations. Half those “spells” you have aren’t for the staff they’re incantations used with a finger seal. If you’re going to use the staff you have to make sure you have the right sorceries (the blue spells) equipped to use it

11:00 "The Sword of Night and Flame" located in the manor north of the Crucible Knight you fought. It's hidden so you'll have to really search the area (hint: look at rooftops below the bridges you walk on). You will never need another sword again. But you'll need to boost your int and Faith to use it.

I'm over 100 hours in. I can NG+ anytime I want. I strongly believe that I've thoroughly explored the entire map and STILL I see Brad do something that I have never seen before. I love this game.

So I noticed you have a permanent debuff on your character. It's from hugging the woman at the round table too much. She gives you an item to remove the debuff and turn that into a buff instead. If you look below your health you can see the debuff.

There is a small ball lamp you can purchase, then equip it when stuck in dark caves. Also, you should maximise your health flask.

Hey Brad! if you want some easy to get armour which is really good, then go to the war masters shack and kill the npc there. You get beast armour. Don’t worry about the items he sells too, you get a bell bearing from him. Basically if you give it to one of the npc’s at the round table hold, then they can sell you the things he sold before you kill him.

Brad to use the staff you need to memorize sorceries, incantations use the finger seal, if you want to use the weapon coating ability, put your weapon in your right and staff in left and cast with L1

Brad, there's a vendor (found around the maps where you see a donkey / horse too) that sells you a lantern to help light up dark areas, costs about 2, 000 runes
