I hated in Normal People when the main charachter was in Lund, Sweden studying abroad and the author described constantly that it was a huge snowstorm and just so much snow all the time & that is was overwhelming the maincharachter. But the thing is, we don't get snowstorms in Lund, barely any snow at all during winter. I understand that you would think that all of Sweden has so much snow in wintertime, but Lund is in the very south of Sweden and we don't get that much snow anymore here (climate change). Not the biggest thing, but just felt like bad research and so weird to read about that when you yourself know that kind of weather situation is basically not a possibility in Lund, not in modern times at least. Rant over!

P. S and they actually filmed the Swedish scenes for the TV show in Luleå, which is in the very north of Sweden, to even get some snow-scenes for the show.. Which I think says everything.. So, now rant over.

The Queen's Gamit is an awesome tv series and Anya Taylor-Joy is a delight.

in November I read one (1) book.

(But I also read sooo many texts everyday for Uni that probably should start counting pages instead...)

I loved "The House in the Cerulean Sea" ...it's more of a feel-good-book to me. Not like...earth-shattering deep but it was a very soothing read to me.

Emily out of context describing 2020:
"was it that month? "
" I was excited for that one, which I shouldn't have been"
"I was done"

I can never get tired of you saying "Gideon" in French. Please keep it up.

I would like to see another video with spoilers about books that you’ve read, I mean a video that you share your opinions about it. I find it really refreshing to see things from another person’s perspective.

I did not enjoy the year of the witching. Sad because i was super excited about reading it. That’s probably the only reason I didn’t DNF it.

The best book I’ve read this month is The Poppy War! A little late to the game but I can’t wait to continue with the series ❤️

The witching hour by Anne Rice, Hex hall by Rachel Hawkins, Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett and The women of the otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong are all books I recommend if you want good books on witches.

Agreed so much regarding Gideon the Ninth. Btw... Harrow the Ninth makes Gideon the Ninth like the easiest book to ever be read. It was deliberately confusing as walking through a labyrinth and the only way out (supposedly) lies in the final 40% of the book. I haven't finished it myself, but I had to put it down because I just finished Rhythm of War and so not in the mood for something that confusing at the moment.

Burning God is my favorite of the trilogy, I hope it will be the same for you, too! And my favorite read of the month was definitely Rhythm of War!

I was surprise with the "whodunnit' in One by One because I didnt think itd be that obvious. I was convinced it was gonna be someone else and they were just a reader scapegoat 🤣

My best books for this month were Jade City, Legendborn, and Cemetery Boys. Just such amazing books! I haven’t read The Poppy War yet but hopefully will get to it before the year ends!

You should try The City & The City by China Mieville, it’s a murder mystery with a unique scifi setting!

Best book I read in November was Addie LaRue. Worst was A Deadly Education. Which sucks because I really thought I was going to love it.
