I think Never Let Me Go is a story you would enjoy more! When I read it, probably ten years ago, it was my book of the year!

I really liked Freshwater by Akwaeke Emezi on audio.

I really loved Never Let Me Go and felt very lukewarm about The Remains of the Day. Never Let Me Go is a book I still find myself thinking about over five years after reading it, definitely an all-time fav.

The Cost of Living is my next Levy since I enjoyed Thing I Do Not Want To Know so much. You need to read Hot Milk by her! It's fiction and my first entry to her work and I think you'd like it. Kelsea picked up Funny Weather recently and I told her to get it to let me know how it was lol but glad to hear you enjoyed it too. Long nice audiobooks???? I LOVE my wfh life listening to Austen audiobooks free on youtube lol. Hope you and Kiki have a good and safe trip!!

The last book I listened to on audio was Ann Patchett's The Dutch House and it is narrated by Tom Hanks which is kinda cool? Or maybe it was not cool? I'm undecided. Honestly feeling kinda meh about the book too so this isn't a glowing endorsement, but it might be one to try out if it has been on your list. Also, super random, but I really love Michael Pollan's voice?? He narrates his most recent book about psychedelics and a few others I believe

I read Deborah Levy for the first time on your recommendation and have loved both her autobiographies. I have just started Hot Milk. Just wanted to thank you for pointing me to this author that I had never read and may become a new favorite! I just listened to The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock narrated by Juliet Stephenson. Amazing performance and a chunky book.

Holy moly, you’ve read so many books! Really nice to hear you go over them at a fast paste, got to know a lot of new books. ‘Sisters’ sounds really interesting! 📖✨ Juliet Stevenson and Dan Stevens are both amazing at doing audio!

I enjoyed this wrap up! I will be interested to hear your thoughts on other Ishiguros if you get round to them. I listened to the audiobook of Never Let Me Go and really enjoyed it, but haven't picked up any of his other books.
