Is YouTube your full time job? I can’t imagine getting through that many books otherwise 😳 That number is just under my yearly total haha

You should read 11/22/63 by Stephen King if you haven't already. Surprisingly good romance story in there

A few of my favorite things:
1. Hearing people speak passionately about a topic - aka you talking about W.E.B DuBois. I am officially inspired to pick up Black Reconstruction in America!
2. The reminder that end-of-the-year-listslikewhoa is coming. So ready for it!

I have not even read that much the entire year. I mean...how? Do you do anything else? 😂

I always love to hear your perspective, especially on your nonfiction reads! I was super interested in your take on Pursuing Happiness ❤

Hi Mara 😊 I'm happy your reading month was so great. It was similar to my own in that I read 46 books.

Looks like we agree again! I also found THE HUNTING PARTY to be just okay. It is more a thriller than a mystery. I think the fact that she hides both the identity of killer and the murdered turns me off.

Since you really liked Dubois's work, I'd recommend THEY WERE HER PROPERTY. It is a history book that looks at Southern white female slave owners. It both revolted and informed me.

How To Do Nothing was my commute book for the last 2 months of this summer, and I adored it but the first essay (first hour and a half in audio) was by far my favourite, so it made for a weird reading experience as I kept hoping I would get to another essay I liked as much!

Would definitely be interested in a philosophy books video, always interested in finding new books to cultivate that before bed introspection 😂

your reviews are always so thoughtful and feel so personal and deliberate, I love listening to you talk about books!! only you could make me want to pick up Ruby Dixon even though I normally dislike romance 😂

Omg you need to read "Finlay Donovan Is Killing It" when it comes out. I got it as a ARC and it was absolutely amazing. Highly Recommend

I'm glad you read widely. I also like mysteries much better than thrillers. I think we are in the minority in this belief. Also, I want to read "How to do nothing, " even though it's had mixed reviews on Booktube. That's a lot of books! Aloha

The W.E.B. DuBois book sounds really fascinating, especially since as a non-American I don't really know that much about your Civil War beyond the most popular movies. To understand the deep roots of racism, you need to know the history of it.

I also have to read Ruby Dixon's Battle God right now. And to continue the Ice Planet Barbarian series. I'm at the books where the deaf woman and her sister were found.

I'm over here thinking I'm doing great for 18 books in a month and you're reading 48 in a month. How in the actual... Please, feel free to share you secret to reading that many in a month. Ha!

I spent yesterday reading All Systems Red - it was amazing as expected. Can’t believe how long it took me to discover the wonders of Murderbot and have the next books on hold at my library. Also, that W.E.B DuBois book sounds great and one I definitely need to read. As an adult I’ve been discovering/learning about a lot of things my education either lied/mislead me about or left out completely and would like to keep re-educating myself.
