the switch by beth o'leary is also marketed as a romance when it's not one and i don't know why this has become a trend

I loved This Is How You Lose The Time War! I wasn’t much of a fan of Addie LaRue but I’m glad you enjoyed it!

I've been kind of starving for vampire content recently, but its so hard to find anything good. I might have to get The Beautiful and its sequel. Even if it's not the best per say, I still just really need some vamp stuff to tide me over to the next season of Castlevania.

I've been in such a reading slump for the second half of this year but seems like I'll have to try Addie LaRue and the Song of the Shattered Sands series. Oh and Black Sun as well! I flew through Rhythm of War in November and then basically didn't read anything else...

I am just finishing The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle and was wondering if you had read this and what you thought. I also liked The Damned. New Orleans is my favorite city and the book captured the feel of the city.

Since I was doing Nanowrimo in November I only finished Gods of Jade and Shadow by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. But I really enjoyed it.

Check out Parable of the Sower. In Five Years was precious. Surprising.

I really was surprised at the difference in tone between The Damned and The Beautiful but I agree it was easy to read. I loved Addie LaRue, it is definitely V E Schwab best work.

I thought the same thing about Addie LaRue. It feels very quiet compared to all the other books I've read by VE Schwab.

Month of November is the month i realized that out of the 25 books i wanted to read this year, i had only read 3, and i have been on a mad read since then... so far i read

-The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
-Thorn by Intisar Khanani
-An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson
-The Falconer Series by Elizabeth May
-The Lost Sister by Holy Black
-How the King of Elfhame learned to hate stories by Holy Black
-Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson
-Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince by Jk Rowling

And since December started i read
-Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows by Jk Rowling
-Around the World in 80 days by Jules Verne (I just finished it)

I still have 10 more books to go.

I liked The Damned much more than the first. It definitely ramped up the creatures which I think is what a lot of people expected going into the first book.

I felt similarly about A River of Royal Blood. I ended up DNFing it, because the characters and a lot of what was going on weren't fleshed out enough at all, even though the ideas were great so I had expected a lot more.

Hi Sam
Addie Lu ru sounds great but how dark is the story? Is the sexual asult on page or implied? Is the death and the maiden trope in there? My fave fantasy genre is historical. You spoiled me with the Witernight Trilogy so hope I can handle Addie. I read her MG City of Ghosts because of the premise but was scared so really need your guidance on if I should read this one

I’m interested in the Shattered Sands series, but I think I’ll wait for you to get further down the road and talk a bit about payoffs. If I’m going to the desert, it has to be GOOD! 😂
Black Sun’s on my TBR as well. You’re the third person I see that loves it but hates the wait for the next book because of the cliffhanger, which makes me lean towards waiting for the sequel’s release.
I’m also excited to read Addie Larue soon.
Thanks for the video ✌🏼🤓 love the content

I plan on reading Black Sun really soon and it sounds really unique for sure! I am also a sucker for pirates so that sounds great to me!

I'm so excited to see the Damed is good because I really want to try out the series. I know book one got a lot of flack, but historical romance in ya is one of my faves, especially regency era.

I finished the Sentinels of New Orleans series by Suzanne Johnson. I really enjoyed this series and I think it is very underrated. I never see anyone mention it. You should look into it. I think it is one that you would enjoy
