How to heal cracks and fissures on the bottom of the foot or heel

Fissures on the bottom of the foot can be very painful. They usually occur due to dry skin. keeping the foot moisturized will minimize recurrence.

In an acute situation, when this things hurts or sometimes bleeds, use Super glue or liquid band-aid.

i THOUGHT I STEPPED ON A PIECE OF GLASS when I saw mine. Looks like a giant cut. I think my feet are overly moisturized due to being in boots all day and feet getting wet. I would get home and hit the heavy bag barefoot on concrete. I think I am literally tearing me feet up. Bought some superglue hopefully it heals up. Doesn't look very healthy as an infection could happen.

I have an opening that's sore and tender.
Im trying to encourage it to heal.
Super glue is not sterile and exactly waht protective healing factors does it have.
All i predict is worsend inflammation pain and infection from applying superglue

I have terrible, very deep heel cracks. I have tried spooking my feet in Johnson’s Foot soak every night and keeping them moisturizer. When I try taking off the old dried skin my foot with the deep cracks aches badly. I cannot walk on my heel for several days. I used something that looks like a cheese grater in the shower. (Or I was until the pain in cracked heels started to ache). I have tried Vick’s for a few nights with some improvement. The cracks are still there. Please let me know if superglue is safe on my heel cracks. Just want to walk without hurting. Average weight, 50 years old and have had calluses all my life on my feet. Tried everything and ready to give up.

Thanks for the advice. Mine are cracked and hurting. I tried a band aid but it fell off. I will try this remedy asap.

When you put the glue in the crack to you try to hold the sides together and let it dry so that the edge are approximated? The crack is semi side and dee in this case
