Very interesting indeed. NTLM being consigned to the history books is very welcome news!

Imo these changes are even bigger than in Windows Server 2016. Getting rid of NTLM and implementing Kerberos for local users is a huge upgrade. Same thing with improved SMB I'll definitely migrate to 2025 as soon RTM is available. Can't wait to test it.

On the day of the announcement, our IT chief said: "They will release Server 2025 soon? It's time to migrate from 2016 to 2022" =D

i just did installation of server 2025 with hyperv and vms. Its way slower than my previous server 2022. I will have to go back to server 2022. What a deception.
