The Ultimate Friendsgiving: Hey Y'all | Southern Living

Ivy Odom hosts a Friendsgiving with her friends from work: Nicole from Mom Versus, Jorie from Something To Talk About, Robby from BBQ&A, and Robin from Something vs. The Internet.

For the main dish, Ivy puts a spin on the traditional Thanksgiving turkey and cooks chicken fried turkey. The batter—made of flour, saltine crackers, and a few spices—browns evenly with a nice flavor, thanks to the peanut oil used to fry the turkey. In the South, you can’t go wrong with frying anything.

Her friends show up with their own dishes, featuring boudin balls, smoked beet & Brussels sprout slaw, Italian-style green bean casserole, BBQ chicken with Alabama white sauce, and apple cider margaritas.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm sorry to harp. Last time I'll post except Woohoos. I'm Celtic from SC, but girl, you GOTTA get some friends who aren't white. Not for the video...for YOU!
