The Pain of A Bad Haircut...

Haircuts... We all have to get them at some point and getting a bad haircut is just the absolute worst, your life is basically just ruined for the next few months. Today I'm going to share some of my experiences with bad haircuts!

My dad used to cut my hair to a buzz cut (cuz it was easy and free) until 8th grade. After that i decided to have a bit longer hair and i still got the same cut 6 years later (apparently called ‘fringes’)

Bro ur living my life man. I’m born with a bowl cut and ppl didn’t think about it. I was mocked for being a mushroom boy in 6th grade. My dad will always cut my hair and it’s so agonizing bc it looks like ass. When I was in my early freshmen year, I had my first haircut from a barber for $20. My god my hair looked fresh asf. My second time my barber charged $30 like wtf is going on with the prices. Then I got one from Supercuts for $23. Then my mom couldn’t afford haircuts so we have to stick with my dad and it makes me sad asf. My dad would normally cut my hair shorter and uglier and give my a horrible ass fade and ppl made fun of me and it ruined my mental health.

Another thing is that I also had my hair bald because one time my dad messed up my hair so badly. Luckily it was 5th grade summer school so I wasn't going to be fun by a lot of people. I weared a beanie to school in embarrassment and misery. I was walking to the cafeteria and one of the ppl said to take off my hat and I did. They didn't say shit at all. When I walked to class, ppl looked at my hair and thinks it isn't bad. I had ppl questioning I he bald or not bald bc all the hair is tiny asf.

I'm a girl... I cut my hair very short to the point I can't do a full ponytail and trust me, if a guy has a bad haircut most girls won't really care because they're used to seeing short haired males. But for girls, since most of us have long or shoulder length hair, for one of us to suddenly cut our hair, it's deemed as unusual to society 😭

That outro got me vibing tho and facts I hate it when barbers cut my hair too short. And when my Dad use to cut my hair, he always wanted me to have short hair or be bold.

Best way to avoid this is to learn barbering terms such as blend, disconnect, taper, etc. Explain what you want. Also helps if you tell them to gradually take length off the top and get them to check if you're happy with so they can either leave it or take a bit more off.
