We are culturally conditioned to fear labor. I love this video. I had my daughter with no pain medication via water birth. I got tense at the very end, and once I let go and got control of my breathing and mental, my daughter was here. I didn’t even have to push. Trust. Relax. Allow. Trust your body to do what it needs to do!!

When people ask about coping with labor pains, I always explain that the greatest thing I did was accepting pain as part of the process and allowing it to rush over me. It sounds very difficult, but that pain tension fear cycle is so real. My contractions were the absolute worse when I tensing up against my contractions to "stop the pain". Relaxing into the Sensations really helps your body utilize the contractions to keep doing good, productive work. An added bonus is that relaxed muscles experiencing contractions don't feel pain the same way.

My wife used a bag of ice on her neck to distract from the labor pains. After it was over we realized she never broke a sweat.

I can totally attest that this is true what Bridget expressed in this video. My baby is 6 weeks old and I had a very powerful and enjoyable labor. I breathed with the techniques Bridget gave on another video and I just stayed focused. I listened to Bridget's breathing videos while pushing and I really had a very relaxed and enjoyable delivery. The baby's heart rate fluctuated in the midst of the pushing so they put pressure on me to push harder than expressed on one of these videos and so it was a little more difficult at the end. But thank God we got a healthy happy baby out

When I had my first baby 2 months ago, I reminded myself that I nurtured my baby throughout pregnancy and therefore my body is capable of birthing my baby. I was in a clear and focused mindset in labor. I mediated on my breathing and rode the waves of contractions without an epidural. In the moment, I was not in fear

I have to disagree that the sensations of labor are what you make them to be. Labor and contractions are physical. My son is not yet two weeks old and I had a completely natural, medication free delivery. I used all the breathing techniques, labored in the shower, used movement and a birthing ball, counter pressure, completely relaxed my body between contractions, and focused on the fact that my son was perfectly healthy and had no negative reactions to labor. The fact of the matter is that every woman has different pain tolerance levels. For me the pain was so incomprehensibly painful I was vomiting throughout labor. Of course, some people don't have as much pain and I absolutely believe the less medical interventions the better, but I do think it's misleading to say that a woman is in pain because she's afraid of labor or that her mental state isn't what it should be. I had a natural labor and delivery because I had set my mind to it and I committed myself to it. Now I can say I did it, but I will be getting an epidural next time.

I wish I saw this before I gave birth! Watched all your videos they helped me a lot. My baby came sooner at 38 weeks! I got contractions 2 days earlier but wasn’t dilated, the nurses told me I had to wait to get induced at 39 weeks. But thank God I started dilating on the 15th, I felt like I had you there spiritually telling me to breathe and relax! Thank you! Once I started pushing he was out in 30 mins. This was my fist pregnancy, all natural too!

Gave birth 3 weeks ago. Listened to your audios, they're very empowering. Thank you so much. But it was so painful i thought i was going to die. I did MOOing sound for 13 hours of labor i thought i was becoming a cow. Breathing techniques didn't worked for me neither. It's so traumatic.

I had reconstructive facial surgery after a drink driver hit me as a teen passenger. Waking up from that surgery was so bad, healing was so bad, my trauma was so bad that I can't imagine anything will ever hurt as badly. I just hope my body guides me through everything the way it ought to go. My body and 10, 000 years of birthing surely has my back. :D 38 weeks and a day. Can't wait to meet my little bean!

Tomorrow I will be 40 weeks. I was just telling my husband yesterday that I think a lot of the fear comes from the 9 months of anticipation and preparation for such a big event that everyone refers to as being so painful. Because of family history, I think also the fear of eclampsia symptoms has been my biggest source of fear lately and I hope it doesn't transfer into labor. I feel as prepared and calm as I can be for a first labor thanks to your videos and other birthing videos.

I had both of my babies naturally and I actually loved labor. I had an induction for preeclampsia with my second baby and it was more painful but i still found the same enjoyment in it
