First, check if it is not even or divisible by 5, by looking at the last digit. Then if digital sum is not multiple of 3, pick next larger square 16² = 256 and find the difference 256 - 241 = 15, if that is not a square then add 17th odd number to 15, that is 15+33=48, if that is not square then add 18th odd number 48+35=83, and so on up to until the added odd number is greater then 241/5. If none of the partial sums are square then 241 is a prime.

I'm a native English speaker and I'm a calculating genius, so I'll explain this problem. Any number larger than 5, if it is prime, must end in 1, 3, 7, or 9. That's because any even number larger than 2 is divisible by 2, and therefore not prime. Any number larger than 5 that ends in 5 is divisible by 5, and is also not prime. 241 COULD be prime but we have to divide by smaller prime factors (not including 2 and 5, for the reasons mentioned above). We choose the prime factors below 17 (because 17^2 is 289, and that's larger than the number we want to test). So our potential factors are 3, 7, 11, and 13. 241/3 gives us 80 remainder 1. Since it doesn't come out even, 3 cannot be a factor. 241/7 = 34 r3. 241/11 = 21 r10, and 241/13 = 18 r7. Since dividing by all potential factors gives a remainder each time, NONE of them are factors, and 241 is a prime number.

Better use this method 241^2 and subtract 1 from answer then check the answer is exactly divisible by 24 or not if yes it's prime if no its not prime
