Drone footage captures the damage from a fire at a historic pub in London’s southwest on Friday night (19 April).

Emergency crews were called to the Burn Bullock in Mitcham at around 7:30pm amid reports that the London Road building was on fire.

Around 80 firefighters were on the scene tackling the blaze at the heritage-listed pub, which has been closed for more than 10 years.

Drone shots from above the building show the damage to the ground, first and second floors.

The roof of the now-derelict public house, which dates back between the 16th and 17th century, was also destroyed and the fire is under investigation.

Empty for ten years and then a fire, suspicious, someone wants the plot.

There is something rotten about the ownership and management of British pubs.

Looks like another Crooked House type fire,

Another insurance scam because its a listed building the owner could not knock it down to rebuild so they did what they always do and that is to burn it down.

This is the build back after battering for one world government of selective communities?

A sad tragic end of the Burn Bullock pub 😢

I live down the road, and I could see the fumes and the fire on the building.

Our little bunch of Mitcham Party hippies got drunk upstairs there every Friday night at the end of the Sixties/early Seventies. Enduring friendships to this day. Sad to see it go like this. It was squatted for years. Now the site is nice and clear for another block of overpriced apartments. Gangland stuff…

Remarkably similar to the Crooked House incident in Dudley, West Midlands. I wonder if there is a connection?

I felt this was dodgy the moment I heard about it. The pub across the road may be next. Thats been empty for a while. Easy way to turn them into overpriced dwellings. Another part of local history gone.
