Easy Progressive SnapShot Install

Installing the Progressive Snapshot cant be any easier. Now we will have to see if there are any savings on my policy. I will update when I have the results. If you are a snapshot user kindly post your savings in the comment section for other users to see. Thanks =)

I’ve been asked what our savings is and it was the max amount allowed.

Progressive, in a disclaimer claim that is not supposed to happen, but... guess you could never really be sure. Rates are calculated on what hours of the day you drive, overall distance and braking. Once you sign up for the program you will gain access to the data collected in a statistical format. Does measure speed (not acceleration) and how many "hard brakes" you make in a trip. Hard brake is defined by progressive as anything exceeding a 7MPH or higher per second decrease in speed.

Initial SNAPSHOT savings after one month was 11%. Does not seem all that bad considering the heavy congestion of city driving.

As of 07/01/2012 my projected snapshot discount has been increased to 25%. Will update again when program is over.

Update: 08/05/2012, discount has been increased to the max of 30%. This is sweet that my projected discount is now 30%. I will update again once the program is over.

what if no savings and they actually raise your rate?. from what i understand it doesnt read how fast you go but how hard you brake.
