I have two HDMI Monitors & one DVI Monitor, and the two HDMIs work but the DVI no signal. I'm using a switcher a KVM which all 3 work with my 2012 Mac Pro but not with my 2013 Mac Pro. I'm using the Thunderbolt adapters on all 3 to the @013 Mac Pro. It's weird, if I unplug one of the HDMIs the DVI will display.

This subject information is valuable, since it is difficult to find anywhere on the internet. Even the Mac gurus at the apple store do not know this information. You cannot connect three DVI monitors, period. When you connect the third one, no matter where you have it plugged in, it will cancel one of the other two. The best scenario is to connect one vga, one DVI, and one HDMI. You can use adapters for all three from thunderbolt2 or for the first two and then use the HDMI port since it is on the same circuit as the thunderbolt connections. You could probably connect two DVI's and one HDMI. When you use a VGA connection you will be able to see the start up screen. I had the same trouble with a 2012 Mac Pro. I have two DVI's connected and a Display port monitor. On this setup the Display port monitor is the one where the startup screen is visible. Apple's support page on this helps a little bit: @t

this is a great video - I wish it helped me.. I have 2 Samsung with HDMI only and I am trying to get another monitor to work .. any other monitor BUT so far nothing anytime a 3rd one is hooked in one of the originals goes out so there is still just 2 displays. any suggestions? Thanks

can the separate screen be used as an individual system .. with each individual keyboard and mouse???
