Mariah Carey's Mom and Sister Die on Same Day

More information is emerging about Mariah Carey's double heartbreak, as the singer lost her sister and mother on the same day. Carey's sister, Alison, died from complications of liver cancer. Her mother, Patricia, died just hours later. In a statement, Carey says "I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed." The deaths of her sister and mom is reminding many of the passing of Carrie Fisher and her mom, Debbie Reynolds, who died just one day apart in 2016.
