Welcome to the complete story of Final Fantasy XIII-2, the game many believe made up for the mistakes of the original Final Fantasy XIII by featuring a less linear story and a more engaging battle system.

Us, however, we believe that Final Fantasy XIII-2 is a great sequel to an already great first instalment, and it is our pleasure to continue telling the story of this often overlooked trilogy of Final Fantasy games. A story of divine proportions, transcending both time and space, as we get better acquainted with some familiar faces and make some new friends along the way.

But anyway, I’m Pétur from Birds of Play, and I hope you’ll join us as we revisit the complete story of Final Fantasy XIII-2. It’s going to take some time to navigate this tangled web of time travelling shenanigans, but I hope you’ll stay with us from now until the end of history.

Good Lord, the story is so convoluted; I'm so glad you made this video to clarify things! Thankfully, Lightning Returns isn't nearly as complex as FF 13-2 and is straight forward -- can't wait for that vid! Thanks for all that you do, it's greatly appreciated!

13-2 was written like a kingdom Hearts game. Lol

Game play was excellent and as a complete trilogy, this series is underrated.

The ending blew my mind upon first seeing it. Had Final Fantasy pulled a twist to that extent before, where you were playing into the main antagonist's hand the entire time, and inadvertently helped him destroy not only the world, but all of time? All while a love ballad is playing. What a ride!

This game is so iconically chilling and very sad with how it pulls the rug out from under you. I still personally don’t know how it was so largely hated.

This was the first game I ever finished 100% of the achievements on Xbox 360! I preferred it to the original 13, but I didn't dislike that one (or I probably wouldn't have tried this one).
