I think the intended method to get your first insect axe is after you visit the hedge. Not only are there lots of spiderlings, but the cocoons drop random bug parts, including a high chance for a lady bug head. From there you just need the beetle parts.

Sadly I am one of those people who are TERRIFIED of spiders and the arachnophobia mode just make them even more terrifying

Bruh i spent hours constructing a base and a pretty good one, few stories high, had the works high enough to glide from and a fkn HOTDOG SPAWN WHERE I PLACED MY DOOR MAN shits fucked need a tier 2 axe just to hack at it n then again idk if it will go away 😂

Killing 3 ladybugs to find one that has a head... this is the Westfall boar liver situation all over again...

just find a lady bug and use the spiked club its super fast only takes like 30 seconds to a minute to kill one of the lady bugs

For any new players it’s worth using raw science to dupe the lady bug head inside the tree lab to avoid having to kill 10+ lady bugs for armor and the axe

This wasnt fast nor easy. Making 50 arrows takes time and you left out you also gotta kill Bombadier beetles. Also finding multiple lady bugs to get the head takes time.

Get 15 spear and trow it to the ladybug

Lmao .. L2 blocks ladybug attacks even without shield, can use spear or club to block than attack 3-4 times block repeat

Pro tip: Stones knock out some bugs, so I recommend you to stone them and then club them

a bow? wtf I can't seem to get anything at this point, so you are saying b4 level 2 axe I have to try and some how get a bow with enough arrows.. This game is umm ok. 1 shot everything except the mites at this point. If you are a beginner, this doesn't seem as the fastest way, just a way thats a long way ahead.
