Chris, I gotta tell ya... you are the absolute best ambassador to Linux there could ever be. You are killing it bro!!! Every video you do is so spot on. - You're *seriously* helping us windows refugees make it to the promised land! I just cannot thank you enough for this channel!

The first terminal I ever used was a gorgeous amber phosphorus Unix dumb terminal in the 1980s. I’ve loved terminals ever since. I don’t rice Xorg à la unixporn or even do much GUI customization, but I really enjoy tweaking my terminals. A personalized terminal makes an enormous difference in the overall user experience. I often don’t want to leave my terminal, it’s so comfy. I’m really glad you made this video. Thank you!

One of my first go-to videos when I'm distro-hoppin'. I love your "dorky" terminal, Chris :D

I love your intro sequence, there's a lot of manual editing and effects in that short time. Also, awesome video in general.

I have been looking around for a long time to change my terminal colors and the other people have a tough time changing but you have come up with a simple and wonderful color scheme.

I've been using Terminator for years.. I love it. Of course, a terminal is a terminal for getting things done, but this one is by far and away my personal favorite.

I loved the way you setup your console, always wondered how you did it. I got the terminal all setup. Thank you for sharing that bashrc script. It is awesome. I set mine up with gnome-terminal. Works like a charm. Thank you.

Hey Chris. Need some help here. So I'm trying to follow along on Manjaro Gnome and I can't find fonts-powerline anywhere. I found powerline fonts though. But when I also put the script into both of the .bashrc's the terminator still stays the same. any help here would be awesome. :-)

Thanks for making this video and actually explaining on how to get these nice looking fonts into the term.
I have seen them everywhere but no one seemed to have explained it before, so this tutorial of yours helped me a lot in that regard.
Certainly will keep trying to stay away from the CLI myself as much as possible (simply because I don't demand on it much) but at least it's looking great now!

I'm using Urxvt with zsh (with oh my zsh). I have noticed I use the Terminal way more compared to when I started out, using neovim for all textfiles now for example.
Great to see some more content on the termianl, it isn't as scary as new users make it out to be. A video on the different shells would also be interesting for newer users who probably don't even know stuff like zsh exist.

I've always used Konsole but I will definitely have to give Terminator a try. Personally I love that old school 90s terminal feel but it is interesting seeing some of those fancy UI options for the terminal. Great video!
