I made your recipe without the bottom and I used pecans because that what I had, my little ramekins crisps turned out great. Thanks for sharing your recipes.

If you leave out the almonds from the topping first, you can use that wire tool used for incorporating butter, then add the almonds later and then work them in. You're welcome.

This recipe is perfect except....I would add a little almond extract to the topping.

Maybe serving fresh-out-of-the-oven pie is not the best idea but a proper fruit soup, including cherry soup sounds and tastes delicious.

You put bake it 1 hour and 15 minutes on the website. That is way too much. I made it, i knocked off 15 minutes just cause it didn't seem right, and it was still a bit burnt. It needs to be put in for half the time. The filling and the streusel were awesome, but that time is not good for the crust.

I love this. I live in Brentwood. Cherry capital of California, and corn, tomatoes, pumpkins squash. This recipe is a summer time favorite. I make them in cupcake size for east serving.

This was super delicious and easy. I used 2 cans of Tart Cherries since I didn't have fresh cherries. Everything else, I followed exactly. My guests loved it. This is a new go to recipe for me.

You realize there are healthier alternatives for all of the things you mentioned? You can't make a pie without these. And if you are so health conscious, then stay away from these kinds of foods period :) I hate health nuts that freak out over the littlest bit of unhealthy ingredients. If you eat this entire pie, yeah it's very unhealthy. But making this for a special occasion and having one or two slices of it isn't going to kill you. Live a little, geez.
