Images of Black Hole in Milky Way’s Center Finally Captured

Scientists are celebrating the second successful imaging of a black hole. Using the same Event Horizon Telescope that was able to capture the first image of a black hole in 2019, this is the first time that the black hole at the center of the Milky Way has been recorded. The Event Horizon Telescope is a global network of observatories that work together to observe radio sources associated with black holes. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Wow it looks so scary and unsettling, look at how huge it is, and the way it bends light. Really spooky stuff

it's amazing that theory and math predicted what a black hole should look like before seeing one and the picture matches the theory description almost perfectly

The universe being capable of such physics is almost unbelievable. It seems magical to me, I find a lot of beauty in physics

crazy how accurate Interstellar was in animating a black hole way before any of this was even discovered

Imagine if all of mankind worked together in the name of science and space exploration, what we could accomplish. This is amazing.

Let's have a moment of silence for the aliens species that lost one of their stars to that black hole.

I've always found astronomy to be fascinating. Especially black holes. Seeing a breakthrough like this is amazing, I can't wait to see future breakthroughs in the science of astronomy.

Is the darkness eating the light, or is the light eating the darkness?

The fact we discovered this is not just scary, but fascinating.
But most of all, absolutely fill us with pride.
Because humanity just proved something EONS ago that people back then believed too much in superstition and nonsense.
It took less then a few centuries to prove thousands of years to those who thought was false to be true.

I wish we could go explore all of this without consequences

You wanna know what’s amazing. There’s probably some weird storm happening on a different planet as we speak or there’s some type of beautiful color floating whatever happening on a different planet. There’s probably an earth like planet that has green water currently. It’s amazing how we have different planets. Everything is happening concurrently/real time.

Man I remember being back in 5th grade wondering if I’d ever get to see what a black hole looks like now here I am in college watching this video with a smile and my jaw dropped. Life really comes full circle sometimes :D

Huge thanks to the camera man for traveling 6000 years to the center of our Milky Way to catch these sick images of that black hole.
