Maturity is when you realise the photo is 18 billion years old 🗿

Zooms in right past an entire galaxy. Amazing!!

To those confused, he’s pointing the telescope at the galaxy of which ton 618 lies. But as the quasar it has formed is so bright, it outshines its entire galaxy.

That is terrifying when you think of just how BIG it has to be to be seen from that far away

For those who are confused it is currently 18.2 billion light years away but the light from it has taken 10.37 billion years to reach us which means we are seeing it as where it was 10.37 billion years ago...

Some of you are confused because the universe is expanding faster than the speed of light. It is because the fabric of space time is expanding not matter. The Hubble's constant is 73 km/s per megaparsec and if something is 2 megaparsecs away then its receding twice the speed. At a point it is so far away that it expands faster than the speed of light and it creates the boundary of observable universe...

Space is so terrifying and absolutely fascinating at the same time

Correction: it is 18b light years away from us but we are capturing it as it was 10.3 billion years ago
Due to the expansion of the universe, by the time it's light reached us, it travelled 8b light years away from us

That thing is so freaking huge it’s almost incomprehensible

I appreciate the cameraman who travelled an entire galaxy

"I pointed my telescope at the largest known black hole"

Yeah, sorry for everyone who believes those claims, but this is fake. The reality is, even with a decent professional telescope, you're not going to catch a glimpse of TON 618 or its galaxy. It's just too far and too faint because of red shift. You'd need some serious, top-of-the-line astronomical equipment, way beyond what most have access to (Not even what he has at the beginning of the video) . So, as cool as it would be, don't buy into these kinds of claims without some heavy skepticism.

Bros telescope is so good it turned the image into 3D 💀

Edit: Guys it's a joke

To those who were confused:

When the Black hole had formed it was 10.3 billion ly ( Light Years) away from us but as time went on and the earth evolved life were being created, the universe had also been expanding fast, faster than the speed of light itself. So as time went on the black hole had moved away 8 billion Light years from us (Thank god). Hope that clears it up

Space is astonishing. The way he just zoomed past a galaxy?

What has me shook is how he zoomed past a whole ass GALAXY and continues to zoom ( for in space measurements could be a few thousand light years away ) just to see that small ass speck

Thank you for your This was so comforting. Today’s felt like a sad day. Situational people and issues going on. This was uplifting. Love you 😘
