"The chief god in pre-Islamic Arabia was Hubal, the Arab god of the moon." So the pre-Islamic pagan symbol and the pre-islamic Arab pagan moon God were taken directly from the Mesopotamian god and goddess. Even if the Ottomans used it, its rooted in ancient Arab Gods of Mesopotamia. That's embarrassing for Islam. So Arabs in Arabia and Yemen had a moon God, Hubal, and the symbol in Islam represents the original Mesopotamian moon god that inspired Hubal. It's not a symbol of monotheism. It's pre-islamic pagan Iraqi Arab symbolism. The moon in the Muslim cresent moon symbol represents the Mesopotamian moon God: Suen (Nanna), who directly inspired Hubal. The star represents the Mesopotamian goddess: Ishtar. Muslims shouldn't promote any gods besides Allah. Why do they promote some Mesopotamian moon God along with the Mesopotamian goddess Ishtar? That's polytheism.

Quran mentions Sun, Rivers, Mountains, Birds as sign of Allah as well...!! So why aren't they associated with islam? Why it was used by muslim rulers from the medieval times and used by present day Muslim nations. Amswer is simple, its a copy of pagan culture.

Islam claims allah is God, and God is allah.
The god of islam is allah al ilahi was a moon god, the sword god, the war god of ancient mecca and medina, one of 360 pagan gods. When mohd decided to create his new religion, islam, he abolish 359 other pagan gods, and crown allah al ilahi as the one and only god. What made him do it? Firstly mohd was an illiterate camel caravan driver who married his first wife, hadija, who was the owner of the camels. So now he became the owner of the camels and very prominent in mecca. As a camel caravan driver came into contact with his customers who were primarily jewish and Christian merchants. Mohd heard Christians and jews preaching their monotheistic system which was superior to the outdated pagan system of mecca and decided, the jews and Christians were right. God is a monotheistic God.
