I totally need this!! Thank you!! I don’t know why but watering systems are intimidating. This helps a lot. It actually looks easy.

Literally just bought that timer, mines branded Melnor but is identical for $50.
I run drip tape on 1 zone, poly tubing with drip emmiters 2 zones, and one for a sprinkler or hose...

This year, I ended up running that rainbird tubing to all my raised beds, then attaching soaker hoses (which I already had). Works way better and looks better than having short lengths of garden hoses all over the place to run soaker hoses. Still need to pick out a timer to water while I am on vacation.

Perfect. I will try this out. For some reason, May has been very wet for the past 4 years - and we had flooding the past 3 years (on other areas in my province), so, I haven't needed to water at all for about 4 weeks. I do need it though so that my gardening can be less work and I can plant more things and not worry about taking 2 hours to water my garden in summer. Excellent work.

Don’t forget a backflow preventer and a psi regulator.

Can you share the link of the product?

Good idea to pick up a pressure regulator too.

Does it have a Backflow within it? And a Pressure regulator?

Though easy to set up and makes life easier in terms of watering. I stopped using watering timer because of malfunction from one of the plastic sections of the Rainbird timer i bought years ago. I came home one sunny afternoon to discover that the plastic part of the meter that connects to the water supply loosened and disconnected due to overheating from the sun. This led to gallons of water wasted. I wish the timer parts were made with brass.

Do I just turn on the hose faucet indefinitely or will that explode? How does it control when the water turns on and off?

I have used the two outlet timers on two lawn renovations. One, 150 miles from home at a lake home which is basically used on weekends. I've had to rely on my sprinklers to function without error which they have. I have confidence they work without having to be there to watch them. I've had four sprinkler zones requiring two timers. This new timer has eliminated the need for both timers and free up my dual units for other areas I previously could not cover. My new four outlet timer is as dependable as my others that I have been useing for two years now. Programming is easy and dependable. I do wish all hose connections were brass as I am sometimes concerned I might break the plastic connection. That would make the best timer I've found even better and perhaps longer lasting. You will not be disappointed with this timer.rainpoint sprinkler timer

Is it good to use when your plants could get powdery mildew? I’m just asking because I’m trying to figure out my watering system that I have here and I bought a single what time in line?

What adapter would I need if the water is coming from a hose not a faucet?

Do you need a water pressure regulator?

Trying to plant a lawn.
Will this work?

I'd love to have that but can't have a hose running over my lawn at all times, just mowing would be more of a hassle moving it out of the way instead of hand watering. It's nice though.

Sorry, this might be a dumb question. But, do you keep the water running? Will it damage the lines?
