This video is misleading a bit. With lower karats of gold you can get some black residue but it will wipe off if it’s real gold. You also will not have discoloration afterwards. Fake gold will have permanent damage and will have permanent black spots and discoloration. Purer karats of gold will likely just burn brightly and get red. If you put a flame to your gold and it burns, breaks, permanently discolors etc it’s not real gold.
