The guard who passed out most likely locked his knees at the position of attention. Former soldier here and Ive seen it happen in parade formations quite a bit.

He didn’t pass out from exhaustion it’s because he locked his knees and the blood flows to the bottom from the brain and you faint. Any vet could tell you that

Usually when a soldier passes out while in formation is because while standing at attention they lock their knees. Locking the knees will restrict blood flow and you will eventually pass out. You are supposed to slightly bend the knee. Slight enough so that it is not seen through the uniform, but enough to keep the blood flowing.

Odd topic. He locked his knees and passed out. I have seen it in the military.

I think it is so horrible for people to disrespect the guards. It's not an easy job at all, as we all have seen. If you want to take a picture I think that's nice, but don't taunt them. Always remember don't judge or bully the guards unless you've walked in their shoes.

Never watched so much bollocks in my life. Why?
Because I served 14 years in the Coldstream Guards.

#oddtopic. I'm a nurse. I work many 16 hour shifts, and on more than one occasion, 24 hours ( so illegal). What makes it bad is I'm really anemic and my BP drops. I have passing out down to a science. I usually have enough warning so I sit back down or lower myself to the floor. That's in a controlled environment. These poor men have to be on their feet in all weather wearing WOOL! I can totally feel their pain! And the disrespect they get shown. Again, I can totally understand. All my respect to them!

This guy was messing with a guard, the guard warned him to back off but the man continued to be stupid.
The guy was bigger than the guard the crowd was laughing then when the guy tried to push the guard, with on fast pouch knocked stupid out cold, the crow went silent.
Stupid remained on the ground, no one dared to help him and the guard continued doing his job.
When the guy came too he never bothered that guard again.😁

My dad was in the marines and he’s told me multiple stories of guards who have fainted in the heat or of exhaustion. Honestly I don’t think I could do that job. They’re brilliant

#OddTopic. The reason for the fainting guard (If you'd ever been in the military, You'd know) It wasn't being tires. Standing still for so long cramps up all your muscles and blood does not flow properly and this starves your brain of much needed oxygen so as a defense it shuts down to protect it from damage. It can also be because you are dehydrated or more commonly among soldiers, hungover.

I was watching this is a class, and when it said 'Relieving themselves on duty', someone said out loud "WANKING?!"

Having stood in many a formation myself, I can tell you that it’s not at all uncommon for people to drop in ceremonial formations. Generally, heat and lack of hydration are the culprit, especially when in dress uniform. I’ve personally never seen anyone go down for any other reason save for perhaps locking their knees in the position of attention.

It's cool to get pics and all but it's not cool to disrespect them, Some people just don't have any feelings or respect for no one

Guards do not faint out of exhaustion, it's heat from standing in parade or his knees locked and it happens quite often. They are quickly taken away and are perceived as heroes and rewarded

The Queen doesn’t check every single Guards Uniform before he goes out on duty, I don’t know where you got that from.
