Just a few points from what I can remember from you post. 1. Correct, normally we don't carry ammo unless ordered to do so. 2. Fainting happens at times yes, but not often. 3. Smiling used to be fined and frond upon, even jailed but I think it is less now. 4. If you need to go the toilet there is a buton you can press. A relief will be posted while you do, but only in dire need of course. Otherwise, yes back in the day you would just do it. 5. You mention standing for six hours, not the case. On stag/duty at a Palace it's two hrs and you can pace 15 steps. On a parade it can be longer, but you would be moving somewhat at times so not a massive problem. 6. Bear skins are real for the most part yes. Inside is wicker basket so not so heavy, however once you sweat in a hot tunic the leather can get wet and slip down your forehead. Upon standing still and you cool down it can dry, tighten and thus cut off blood flow rendering some to faint. Again, most not because they refuse to go down. Oh, and not each regiment are dedicated to other specialized tasks, they all do the same. Ceremonial or military they are Infantry. Within all the Regiments there are specialized platoons just like other units, tasks of the same type when it comes to combat. Otherwise on Ceremonial duty they are the same pretty much. Apart from that you didn't do so bad as others.

You have covered many points. People must understand that these are actual soldiers guarding the Queen. They are not just ceremonial. Sometimes other services like navy and air force, as well as other Commonwealth forces, are invited to take part. I know the Canadian Mounties have ridden in the horse guards.

I have never seen these men, but It seems to me they should be treated the same way we Americans treat the soldiers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

I highly respect the now King's Guards. I saw them several times but never approached nor took a picture.
The very first time I saw them (Queen's Guard) I got very emotional.

The bearskin part was incorrect. Not the entire French Grande Armee wore bearskins, only the foot chasseurs and grenadier regiments of Napoleon's Old Guard of the Garde Imeriale which were his personal guard. The garde did not retreated during the battle of waterloo after being volleyed from flanking british units, what remains of the garde formed a square to act as a diversion as Napoleon narrowily escaped. After british cavalry surrounded them they were given a chance to surrender and desert from the army. But one grenadier said "La Garde meurt mais ne rend pas!" which literally means "The Garde dies, it does not surrender." after being killed by the british soldiers the 1st Company King's Grenadiers took the bearskins from the corpses of the old garde and ripped out the brass plates stamped with the french imperiale eagle from the bearskins. later on the military would allow the other regiments of the guards division to wear the bearskins. That is how they really got their bearskins.

There is no such thing as the royal infantry, all members of the British forces swear an allegiance to the monarch and their heirs and successors. There is so much wrong with this post it is ridiculous. I guarded Buckingham palace as an infantry soldier and never undertook any special training to focus my mind.

Please don't be cute and make them break protocol. You can get them fired for it, or they can get into a LOT of trouble.

You shouldn’t try to make the Queen’s Guard smile because they actually get a fine if they break character, as in if they laugh they get fined and could potentially lose their position on Queen’s Guard!

lol, you didn't get the weapon correct. There is so much incorrect with this video. I didn't realise that being of noble origin gave you better accptance. This is officer class and you will never see one on guard duty.

I chuckled at the fact that the weapon was taken from Roblox Phantom Forces

The guns are not fake.... They just are not loaded. And when they do load them they use blanks.

I would bet the clips contain rounds of ammo. I had to carry a pistol while I was in the navy, but could only load it in an emergency. The clip was full, but the barrel was empty.
