Not upset with him selling rebranded tools most people do (Matco)
My problem is him upcharging them and saying and I quote: "Now just to be clear this isn't some junky rebranded tool set that some youtuber is trying to pedal to you. You guy's know I'm not like that and I always go above and beyond with everything I do; and I won't put my name on just anything, it has to be really good."

Update: ChrisFix reached out earlier today, thanked us for the review, and mentioned that he is working with the manufacturer to improve a few things - Mainly the dry feeling in the ratcheting mechanisms and the somewhat loose feeling tolerances on the 1/4" ratchet. If he decides to do a 2nd edition run of these ratchets, we will try to snag a set to do a direct comparison with these 1st edition ratchets.

I like ChrisFix, but he clearly lied about not rebranding those ratchets.
It's okay to do so if you come clean about it, but they are clearly overpriced for what you get.

I'm not a Mr. Subaru fan, but I did watch his rant about those and I have to agree with him.

What surprised me the most is that ChrisFix wasn't know to cash in on his name. I'm disappointed in him.

I was here because of MrSubaru but I also expected the tools to be rebranded from a YouTuber that makes a 6 figure salary. There's no way he would manufacture any of these tools because it would cost way more than what he could sell. Manufacturing for raw materials to process into these tools in a legit way would've made him go in tremendous amount of debt. So yes, I don't expect a YouTuber to actually sell stuff at high quality with a 6 figure, but rebranding them leaves a bad taste for my tongue.

I'm trying to take a middle approach seeing both mrsubarus side and chrisfix's side, while they may be good rachets and have a good warranty, if I'm working on something and I have a tool break, generally I need a replacement tool right away, not in two weeks,

That's why I plan to stick with brands like craftsman and harbor freight so I can get same day replacements

I like chrisfixit. We all do I'm sure. But the moment he said the price I knew they were severely overpriced. Not to mention the, if you buy both the half inch and 3/8 and 1/4 inch extending is about 1/3 the cost lol

If you’ve ever worked in a shop setting you find out quick why everyone has tools from the tool trucks. Warranty. I’ve snapped 3/8 snap on and Mac mechanisms but you know either that week or next someone is coming and is replacing it for free. It’s probably an okay tool for a hobbyist. You just can’t beat on it and expect the same return. Little pricey for hobbyists quality tbh.
