Smurfing/Fresh account culture is in my opinion the single biggest culprit for the stark decrease in the quality of Solo Queue across all brackets in recent years. The spread of this culture was mostly driven by streamers who slowly realized that they can't really contend with the people at the top of the ladder and in their search for "content" resorted to boasting about win rates. For some reason a lot of people saw those as impressive despite acquiring them essentially being an exercise in gambling, almost like rerolling in some gacha game or something. It got to the point where now having a lot of games on a single account while being high elo is seen as a negative. Playing at your peak and trying to push it somehow became shameful and that mentality was adopted by the large part of the community that likes to larp as their favorite streamer, slowly turning the entire ladder into a complete mess.

Baus playing in master/gm isn’t smurfing. On stream he hasn’t hit challenger since Sion and his strat was nerfed multiple times. He can hit chall off stream, but his peak on stream is gm. When he’s playing in master he’s trying to climb, not stay in that elo to punish worse players for content.

Dom comparing his punishment 10 years ago to the perma bans handed out to the average player is hilarious. If you act like TF Blade or Tyler1 in your games, you’ll be perma’d before the game ends

Baus doesnt even smurf, he gets banned 24/7 on his main account and has to play on his "smurf" instead untill he gets unbanned. His "smurf" is also higher elo than his main acc xd

8:22 nah Baus actually has ban immunity. He went on a like 20 game int spree with 12% WR AP Irelia and INSTANTLY got unbanned when the automated system flagged him. If that was anyone else they are riding that full 2 weeks if not longer.

2:48 the reason people buy ranked accounts is for income. They can use these to inflate ranks in flex queue. For example you can play all the way up to masters with iron accounts as your teammates, making the average rank of players around gold-emerald consistently until the desired boost account reaches masters Not only is this one of if not the best method to do this without botting. The iron account can be used twice for once the master account is master they will need to play with a minimum required elo of emerald to reach challenger. This is how every single challenger flex player obtains challenger each seasons. They vs emerald s playing with a full team of emerald accounts with smurfs on those emerald accounts. It’s all the same as it’s been for a decade frauds at the top abusing a system riot cannot seem to fix this time less queue sniping and win trading.
