I think it would've been so crazy if Inero was signed on as head coach, but assistant coach? Eh, I don't think it's as big of an issue as people are saying it is.

I for the life of me can't understand why people glaze him.

He legit has coached the bottom 3rd team every single split he has ever coached lmao.

The fact that he doesn't just admit it is the issue because he basically ruins two people's chances of playing which maybe they would never have and who knows but the fact is that we don't know and maybe they could have. But he was perfectly willing to lie to get them to play and then screw them over and then when someone calls them out on that and says that's kind of BS for him to double down... how stupid does he think people are?

Think C9 will go budget, with players they know that can perform for low price

Totally forgot they yanked Niles from collegiate. Makes sense how he found his way back there.

Inero is the best coach for speed running bottom 2

I agree but I think it's important to note that some Collegiate teams were able to compete with Tier 2 teams through PGOQ IIRC? So I wouldn't say Collegiate was tier 4 unless it's like the bottom teams.

But he looks cool and is well spoken and everyone believes that he's a good coach because of some fuzzy memory of him being a good coach, even tho no one knows where or when that was...

we have straight up not seen Inero given a chance with a good roster. idk how so many can talk down on him lol

Didn’t he managed the Golden Guardians team that went to MSI and worlds qualifier?

I mean they needed more coaches but is this the move

How many more bottom 2 finishes before we're finally done with this guy btw? One year he manages to stumble into a solid roster with leftover pieces in Gori and River and a revitalized Licorice, then finishes dead last this year, and somehow that lands him on C9

I get that he's probably paid in peanuts but come on...

That article looks like it was written by AI lol

I would like an NA team that is able to catch a throw from the asian teams without giving it back

The take on Inero is pretty poor imo. Especially citing the GGS roster as if he had control of the budget (which is clearly why that roster happened) and then Niles didn't get let go he fully retired from the scene for a year.

I don't know much about the rest of the roster, but I do know in interviews almost everybody that has worked with Inero either as a player or coach or whatever respects him and says he is very professional and motivated. I think it's fair to say he needs to prove himself because he hasn't had a super successful roster, but it's pretty clear he isn't to blame for the 2021 GGS fiasco.

Also, Niles did an interview where he talked about how when Inero approached him about going to LCS he was told it might be a risk but that it was his call. This narrative that Inero just fucked him over on purpose to slap together the cheapest, most bad faith roster possible is just factually untrue and nobody connected to the actual events has corroborated it.

I don't think he's the worst. But I don't like the things he's done. The way he's acted, etc. I can only imagine that C9 wouldn't put up with his bs and maybe a locked in Inero will do alright for the team. That or maybe the caliber of C9 players won't be affected by his negative qualities. It's going to be a rough road next year regardless.
