The difference between the old skt and the new t1 is that the old t1 were the defacto best team in the world and they had to maintain their championship reputation. The new iteration of t1 is a team of new stars playing alongside faker, trying to gain back the team's former glory. And they achieved that in 2023. After that, everything else is a bonus. The fact that they still won worlds this year after all the shit they had to go through this year must be the most satisfying feeling for t1. Im just afraid of what these chinese crybabies would do next season. Cuz even their ddos shenanigans wasnt enough.

It's almost like when you're playing with a group you enjoy playing with and have fun with that it's less of a chore and almost... entertainment. Crazy for a game to do that.

And yes, you can have fun with a game while being top level competitive, look at how much Daigo cracks up during his streams... to fair, he was known for decades for being stone faced and emotionless while destroying people (hints "rare footage of daigo actually angry"); but lately he's been cracking up laughing and smiling while streaming SF5 and SF6 and is still one of the goats.

There was a team that has this vibe, KOO tigers with smeb, and Hojin as the older bros had so much fun. Remember when they lost against SKT on worlds finals and they were still laughing? I really loved watching that team

this t1 roster just feels like the stars aligned in every possible way. Each player is a debatable GOAT/they have been playing together for so long/respect each others ability to play to their own strengths and support one another with that fun light mentality.

The prime SKT T1 days were indeed very stressful. Winning a championship is expected, and even losing a game is considered a failure.

Both Wolf and Bang have openly mentioned that they were the most relaxed on game day because it's less stressful than practice. All of them had to seek out therapy at some time; Bang straight-up blurted out on stream that he had considered suicide at one point.
