Visited Vienna in january this year and I had a lovely half an hour conversation with an old lady using only two words: yeah and nein. Didn't knew oida, now my vocabulary is complete :D

It is true, as an Austrian I can confirm that 90% of the time, you can get through with "oida".
The other 10% are necessary for when you're really angry.
For example: "Heast Oida!" (=dude, seriously?)
Or "geh leck oida" (=you've got to be kidding me)
"Oida geh schleich di" (=please leave me alone)
and so on :)

We have slightly different word in Azerbaijan which is AYDA, and we use it just like the way you use it.

as an austrian it's quite much fun to hear the several explainings of oida in english. oida is probably the most fabulous word in our dictionary. Or at the second place after Oachkatzlschwoaf :D
even the germans aren't able to say it ^^

Just for some extra context/clarification, "oida", despite literally meaning "the old one", is meant more like the english "dude" or something similar. Which could also be used in all the situations from the video, with the right delivery.

Als mich ein Schweizer mal gefragt hat wie man im Wiener Dialekt spricht, hab ich ihm gesagt er soll immer am Anfang und am Ende des Satzes Oida sagen und dann hat er es raus 😂
