I like the way you simplify your answers…in school a lot of times some teachers made it so hard to understand it…thank you…💫✨☀️

I knew with doing much math. If you take 101 x 101 the answer has to have a 1 on the end as 1 x 1 is 1.
Then 99 x 99 answer has to end with 1 as 9 x 9 is 81.
Once you minus 1-1, the final answer has to end with a 0 so 400 only option.

Let X=101. Now simplify the equation X^2-(x-2)^2 to get 4x-4. Substitute 101 for X....404-4=400.

One time in class I messed around with the difference of positive squares, turns out the difference between one square to the next square, for example 5² to 6² is 11, do this with the first few numbers up to 5 (including 0²), you will get difference of 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and onwards. What you could do is take the 100th odd number and add the 101st odd number to get the answer, which is cool I guess.

Unit digit of 1 square is 1 and unit digit of 9 square is also 1 so, 1-1=0
So correct answer is 400

Sir does this apply to all equations .

No need to do that, last digit of square of 101 will be 1 and last digit of square of 99 will also be 1, so 1-1=0, last digit of answer will be zero, so 400 is the answer

101^2 -99^2 =
(101 +99 ) × (101 - 99) =
200 × 2. = 400

1 squared ends with a 1
9 squared also ends with a 1

1-1 = 0 so the answer ends with a 0

I’d like every teacher I’ve ever had responsible for teaching me math, to be fired.
